Theatre and Arts
Swindon is host to year round entertainment including theatre productions and arts performances and comedy shows at the centrally-located Wyvern Theatre.
The Swindon Arts Centre have some interesting and varied acts and the Museum and Art Gallery has an amazing art collection with an excellent reputation including Lowry, Henry Moore and Paul Nash to name a few.
Close to the Wyvern Theatre is MECA Swindon (Music, entertainment, cultural, arena) which houses regular concerts, comedy performances and sporting events.
During early May, the Swindon Festival of Literature comes to the town.With talks and lectures from a variety of authors as well as poetry, storytelling, competitions and workshops – this festival has events for all ages.
Swindon and Wiltshire Pride takes place usually during June in the Town Gardens, Swindon and has been running since 2008 and is a vibrant event!
