Jools Holland and his Rhythm & Blues Orchestra have announced they will be making a welcome return to a favourite summer retreat with a performance at Westonbirt Arboretum as part of Forest Live, the Forestry Commission’s annual concert series.

Jools Holland is a respected musician. A sublimely talented pianist, he has had a prolific recording career which has run in tandem with highly successful roles in broadcasting. In the live music arena Jools continues to dazzle audiences across the UK with his Rhythm & Blues Orchestra and their exuberant performances. The 20-piece orchestra consists of pianist, organist, drummer, three female vocals, guitar, bass guitar, two tenor saxophones, two alto saxophones, baritone saxophone, three trumpets, and four trombones. Famed for their unique interpretations of original works, their popularity continues unabated, playing to audiences in excess of 300,000 every year.

Jools Holland and his Rhythm & Blues Orchestra are again experiencing chart success with their latest album release, ‘The Golden Age Of Song’ a collection of brand new recordings of classic songs and live recordings from the BBC 2 TV Show ‘Jools’ Annual Hootenanny’. It features the extraordinary talents of many artists from; Amy Winehouse, Cee Lo Green, Paolo Nutini to Tom Jones and others.

Income generated from Forest Live ticket sales is spent on caring for this internationally important tree collection and improving Westonbirt Arboretum for both people and wildlife. Forest Live concerts are renowned for their safe and relaxed atmosphere in fantastic woodland settings.
