If you are looking for things to do this half term, then look no further! VisitWiltshire has put together a spooktacular list of top 10 places to visit and things to do, plus a selection of last minute accommodation special offers.
- Test your detective skills at Salisbury Escape Rooms with a new themed ‘Murder at the Museum’ challenge.
- Create your perfect Halloween pumpkin with carving activities at Roves Farm Visitor Centre, near Swindon.
- Get arty and crafty with the hands-on events at The Pound Arts Centre in Corsham.
- Experience thrills and chills at Longleat with spooky ghost trains, Nasty but Nice Shows and a Trick or Treat Trail (plus much more).
- Spooky storytelling, torch lit gallery trail, and a visit from a Saxon warrior at Wiltshire Museum’s Museums at Night event on Friday 30 October.
- It’s that time of year when the streets come to life with illuminations in the Salisbury Carnival on Friday 23 October and Trowbridge Carnival on Saturday 24 October.
- Trowbridge offers a range of entertainment during their Arts Festival which runs until 1 November; you can have a go at weaving at the Big Weave Day event taking place at Trowbridge Museum on Saturday 24 October.
- For all those Harry Potter fans crying out to become a Hogwarts student - test your wizardry skills at Lacock Abbey’s Wizard School course.
- Have-a-go crafts and spooky stories at Old Sarum where you are in for a frightfully good time.
- On the Wiltshire borders - All Hallows Farmhouse will be hosting a community Apple Pressing Day on Saturday 24 October. Bring your own apples so you can make your own juice to take home. Pre-booking required.

The Castle Hotel in Devizes – is reputed to have a ghost! Having just launched their new menu, they are offering a 20% discount on dinner. When booking a table quote ‘Craig1’ offer valid until 23 November.
