VISITWILTSHIRE WINS TRAVELMOLE BEST TOURIST BOARD WEBSITE AWARD
22 January 2016
VisitWiltshire has won the Best Tourist Board Website Award in the annual TravelMole Web Awards, announced in a ceremony in London last night.
Members of the public were asked to base their votes on website content, layout, ease of navigation and innovation, with www.visitwiltshire.co.uk clinching the top spot to win this prestigious award.
Fiona Errington, Marketing Manager at VisitWiltshire said “We are absolutely thrilled to have won this award especially after recently refreshing our website to make it fully responsive and incorporating our ‘timeless’ branding. This award has been won based on the public’s support which is therefore a great achievement for us.”
Dr Philip Alford, VisitWiltshire Board Member and Chair of the Online Marketing Group says, “VisitWiltshire established an Online Marketing Group comprised of a representative sample of its partners and the members of this group provided ongoing input into the design and development of the VisitWiltshire website, using the crowdsourcing platform, IdeaScale. It’s a good example of a collaborative approach to destination marketing and the effort involved has clearly paid off with this impressive award!"
