Reputedly one of the oldest residential properties in Salisbury, this Grade II listed, terraced cottage is within easy walking distance of the Market Square, with its twice – weekly Charter Market, Cathedral Close – the largest in England – and the wide variety of shops, pubs, restaurants, arts and leisure facilities available in this ancient and historic city. Salisbury’s premier attraction is of course its 13th century cathedral built in the Early English style and supporting the tallest spire in England. Also well worth a visit are Mompesson House (National Trust), the Medieval Hall and the Salisbury Museum. The city has a flourishing theatre – the Salisbury Playhouse – and hosts an annual international arts festival in May.
Thimble Cottage still retains elements of its original character and provides a very comfortable and convenient base for visitors wishing to explore this ancient city and the many attractions in the surrounding area.
