Flying soldiers! The army in the air from early balloons to attack helicopters! This award-winning museum is home to a national collection of military kites, gliders, aeroplanes and helicopters. With imaginative displays and dioramas, the museum traces the development of army flying from pre-World War 1 to today's modern Army Air Corps.

Situated right next to a working airfield, this museum has over 35 fixed wing and rotary aircraft on display plus a cafe, cinema, 1940s house, children's education centre, simulator, shop, large grassed picnic space and plenty of free parking for coaches and cars. Also available for private hire.
