Salisbury > Salisbury and Stonehenge - where to stay > Cosy Cot
Believed to date from the mid 17th century, Cosy Cot has been restored with the utmost taste and care. Situated next to the historic village church with its Norman origins, it has been harmoniously extended and lavishly modernised inside whilst retaining every ounce of its original character and charm. Special features are the inglenook fireplace with its bressumer beam and the dining room with its vaulted ceiling. Cosy Cot was featured in the BBC series "Britain's Dream Homes" and has been graded 4 stars by Visit Britain.
For an ancient cottage, Cosy Cot is surprisingly light, many of the rooms having triple aspect windows. The downstairs rooms have under floor heating keeping the flagstone floors warm in the winter months and the bedrooms have floorboards with restored, cast iron radiators.
