Type: Bed & Breakfast

Charming country home, all bedrooms on ground floor. Locally sourced produce for breakfast. The New Forest National Park has plenty to offer with walking, cycling and a fantastic host of wildlife including wild Forest ponies, just wonderful. Stuart's knowledge of the local wildlife is extensive having lived here for some 50 years plus. A selection of local pubs and restaurants within a 5 mile radius of the property with the Landford Poacher Inn within easy walking distance. Hampworth Golf Course and Estate (wedding venues) a mile away and Hampworth Golf/Croquet Course close by. The Historic City of Salisbury, Stonehenge, Old Sarum are all approximately 5 miles away.

“Absolutely brilliant, fantastic hosts and lovely location.” Reviewed 10 September 2011 by anthonyc244
Stayed with my family over a weekend on two occasions. All the rooms were beautifully furnished and very clean. Must be one of the best breakfasts we've ever had. Talked with Stuart who was a font of knowledge where to go and visit, went and watched the stags rutting. Can't wait to book again.

“Best B & B Ever” Reviewed 29 August 2011 by Lin W, Stevenage, United Kingdom
Just returned home after a three day trip to the New Forest with friends. This is a lovely B & B which is more than worthy of it's four star status. Forest View is in a lovely location, very quiet & peaceful. The rooms we had were beautifully decorated, with the most comfortable beds we have ever slept in. The rooms were spotlessly clean & so was the en- suite. As with previous reviews, the breakfast is indeed excellent & the best we have ever had in a B & B. Karen & her husband are very welcoming & friendly & very knowledgeable re places to visit locally etc. If you are looking for excellent accommodation in the area, stay here, you will not regret it. We will definitely be going back!!

“Epitome of a countryside B&B” Reviewed 27 August 2011 by Bob C, Perth, Australia
While the Forest View B&B at Landford is a little out of Salisbury, don't let that deter you from staying there if you want to visit Salisbury. It's position makes it most accessible to the other attractions in the region, including New Forest and Stonehenge, which all make for a wonderful day out. In fact, combined with the Landford Poacher Inn just two doors away with excellent meals, ambience and hosts, the Forest view is just what you would enjoy if you are looking for a break in the beautiful English countryside. The rooms are spotlessly clean and well appointed and the breakfast first class. Karen and her husband will make sure you have an enjoyable stay.

“An amazing find, a really lovely stay” Reviewed 10 August 2011 by Chris S, Brighton
We booked Forest View as it was the nearest to where we were walking that weekend, and booked because of lack of availability of B & B accommodation that was nearer: This was a piece of luck, as Forest View is spotlessly clean- I mean cleaner than a five star hotel, quiet, with beds you might have to be evicted from they are so comfortable. Breakfast was nothing short of a multi-course feast, from delicately sliced fresh fruit through to toast, with warm baguettes also served, and in the middle, an English breakfast that was as far away from the standard type offered in hotel chains as one could wish for- locally produced sausages, bacon full of taste but not at all salty, and an egg whose texture and colour testified to its freshness served hot and on strikingly beautiful Portmeirion china.. The owner is friendly and very pleasant. There is a pub serving excellent meals almost next door (this being the New Forest, venison is on the menu) , with an Indian restaurant 2 or 3 minutes walk away. Take a detour, or just go there if you want a restoring weekend in the country, and to redefine what breakfast should be.

“We had a lovely stay....fantastic hosts.” Reviewed 8 August 2011 by LucyLegen., Newcastle
We stayed here in July for 2 nights to attend a wedding nearby. Our room was immaculate with all facilities provided to a very high standard. Breakfast was delicious. The owners are very friendly and even ironed my boyfriend's shirt! We would return here is ever in the area again.

“The best B&B we have ever stayed at” Reviewed 7 August 2011 by Sue222_11, Winchester, United Kingdom
Karen & Stuart were the perfect hosts. The double room with en-suite we were allocated was so light and airy with its own coffee table and comfortable chairs for our first cup of tea of the day. Karen's full English breakfast was cooked to perfection and she didn't mind my preference for scrambled egg instead of fried. The fresh fruit and yoghurt was a very nice addition plus the warm crusty bread and the toast/jam just kept coming. Everything was fresh and clean in our room with lots of extras. The en-suite was very nice and clean with lots of fluffy towels etc. We will certainly recommend this B&B to our friends and therefore pass this onto your followers.

“Comfortable, well designed b&b on the outskirts of new forest” Reviewed 31 December 2010 by lindsey07, Wiltshire, UK
I stayed in this newly opened b&b after attending a friends wedding. Room was clean and modern, large comfortable bed with crisp white linen, en suite shower room was small but perfect with high quality fittings and good toiletries. Breakfast was delicious and locally sourced, hosts friendly and helpful. Lovely stay.
