Greenbank Bed & Breakfast, is owned by Sue and Paul Lee, and is a country house located within a Conservation Area in the village of Bowerchalke. Situated at the upper end of the beautiful Chalke Valley, which now forms part of the designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and is the sixth largest area in England & Wales being known as the Cranborne Chase and West Wiltshire AONB.
Greenbank is a family house offering bed and breakfast accommodation and would appeal to travellers looking to enjoy the pleasures of a weekend break or longer in the countryside.
Accommodation on offer is two non smoking en suite double rooms complete with HD Freeview televisions, radio alarm clocks and tea / coffee making facilities. The larger of the two rooms is furnished with a king size double bed and easy chairs and there is also conservatory for guests to use.
The house is set back from the road with ample off road parking and has a large mature garden with various seating areas where you can sit back, relax and take in the tranquil surroundings. In the summer, weather permitting breakfast can be served on the patio. The garden has been open to the public on three occasions in order to raise money for charity and local good causes.
For lunches and evening meals there are a number of good traditional country pubs nearby serving excellent food. For details of these pubs or other eating establishments further afield, please speak to Sue & Paul who will only be too happy to advise, should you wish to visit any of them.
With regard to mobile phones, owing to our geographical location placing us in a valley, there is limited reception for the majority of providers until you climb out of the valley. Use of the house land line telephone is avaliable at the cost of a call.
