Greenbank is a country house located South West of Salisbury offering contemporary style en suite ground floor accommodation, ample off road parking and a warm welcome from your hosts Sue & Paul who will ensure your that stay is a relaxing and comfortable experience. Its location is a quiet haven in which to unwind from the working day or an ideal base camp for trips to places of interest in and around Wessex plus walking, cycling and fishing in the surrounding countryside. The house itself is centrally located in the village of Bowerchalke at the upper end of the picturesque Chalke Valley which is part of the Cranborne Chase Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

Accommodation on offer is two non smoking en suite double rooms complete with HD free view televisions, radio alarm clocks, tea /coffee making facilities and Internet coverage provided by BT. Guests also have use of their own conservatory/lounge where they have access to a HiFi system, board games, magazines and items of local interest. Should you choose to stay at Greenbank you will find we have a large mature garden that has various seating areas where if you want, you can sit back, relax and take in the tranquil surroundings. In the summer, weather permitting breakfast can be served on the patio. A full English breakfast is available along with healthy alternatives. For lunches and evening meals there are a number of good traditional country pubs nearby serving excellent food. For details of these pubs or other eating places, your hosts Sue & Paul will be only to happy to advise and also book a table for you, should you choose to visit any of them.

Road Directions

Greenbank, Bowerchalke, is easy to find, it is a red brick house located in the centre of the village 100 metres east of the church and on the north side of Church street. The frontage is fenced all round and has a circular drive with a large oak tree to the left side of the entrance. For people using the internet, mapping sites will provide adequate directions by typing our postcode SP5 5BE.

If however you are just using a road map the following applies:- When coming from the Broadchalke direction stay on the main road leading into and through Bowerchalke. When coming from the Sixpenny Handley direction stay on the main road leading into and through the Bowerchalke. When coming from Ebbesbourne Wake / Fovant direction you will enter the village on Quidham Street. Travel all of Quidham Street to the road junction, then turn left.

Public Transport Directions

By train or national bus service to Salisbury then by Wilts & Dorset Bus Service Number 29 to Bowerchalke. The bus stop is right next to Greenbank Bed & Breakfast.
