Salisbury > Salisbury and Stonehenge - where to stay > Willow Springs Bed and Breakfast
"Willow Springs" is a unique and striking village landmark, a large 1968 chalet bungalow built in local brick and hand cut Purbeck Stone which has recently undergone an extensive refurbishment, whilst still preserving many of the original features of it's era.
It is situated in a 3/4 acre of landscaped garden approximately 30 feet from the River Avon with superb views across local water meadows, located within a SSSI, Conservation Area and site of special Archaeological Interest. Fortunate guests may wake up to catch a stunning pair of Grey Heron looking for breakfast, swans swimming gracefully into land, small birds of prey, duck, deer and all manner of other wildlife!
Our newly furnished and decorated en suite bedrooms and living area are contemporary in design but still retain a warm welcoming feel. ' Willow Springs' also has a riverside complimentary Therapy Studio offering Aromatherapy, Reflexology and Sports Massage Therapy.
The breakfast menu ingredients are sourced locally wherever possible; 'factory farmed' products are never used and the needs of Vegetarian/Vegan Guests are taken seriously-one of the proprietors having been a member of the Vegetarian society for the past 25 years.
Durrington is just off the A303 - a great base from which to visit some of the worlds most famous sights including Stonehenge and Salisbury Cathedral. The village of Durrington, which was mentioned in the Domesday Book, also borders on to the famous Durrington Walls and Woodhenge. The Village itself caters well for visitors, having two public houses, an Indian restaurant, three 'local' supermarkets, a pharmacy, several hairdressers, a garage, MOT centre, Gym, swimming pool and a recreation ground; a minute's walk from the bungalow is the beautiful Norman Church of All Saints (Church of England).
Willow Springs is pleased to support a number of wildlife and ecology charities.
