Jenny and Martin extend a warm welcome to those seeking to stay and enjoy the wonderful countryside, the delights of the Medieval Cathedral City of Salisbury and the many attractions that Wiltshire and Hampshire have to offer.

We especially welcome countryside lovers to enjoy the extensive network of footpaths, bridleways, and woods, which are wonderful in all seasons and particularly beautiful in May during Bluebell time. Woodgate Farmhouse is ideal for those looking for a peaceful romantic getaway or as a base for exploring the surrounding area.

We have ample secure parking behind electric gates, and guests wishing to do a circular walking, or cycling tour are welcome to leave cars with us for the duration of their holiday.

A particular feature of Woodgate Farmhouse are the beautiful bathrooms, both en-suite and each also having a separate shower. Ample fluffy towels and cosy robes are provided and complimentary toiletries and our own handmade bath bombs await!

We have two well appointed suites, each with king size beds, comfy chairs the usual ‘essentials’ plus hairdryer, and particularly well stocked trays with teas, coffee, cafetiere, snacks using Fairtrade products, and a silent fridge with fresh milk and bottled water. Free wireless network is available throughout the house, the range extends to the garden!

In winter guests can enjoy a log fire at breakfast, and in the evenings can sit by the fire in the sitting room to relax, read, or plan excursions.

Breakfast is served using eggs from our own hens and using local ingredients where possible. Our speciality breakfast uses smoked salmon from a smoke house only a mile away. Why not take breakfast ‘al fresco’ on the patio in the summer; there can be no better way to start your day.

Guests are welcome to use the garden which has a lovely sunny aspect from early morning till late evening.

There are four local country pubs serving good food, these are between one and two miles distance and may be reached via the local footpaths, or by road.

We are pet friendly and with prior arrangement welcome guests with well behaved dogs to stay in the red room only.

Road Directions

We are located behind electrically operated wooden gates in Livery Road, a code for which will be provided on arrival. Please ring bell and we will open the gates.

If arriving by car, Winterslow is two miles from the A30 between Salisbury and Stockbridge. Pass through the village of West Winterslow heading south and Woodgate Farmhouse is the first property on the left after passing the derestricted sign. Woodgate Farmhouse is reached well before the postcode of SP51RJ.

Public Transport Directions

The nearest railway station is Salisbury and is only a 20 minute taxi ride away. Salisbury provides regular rail services to London Waterloo, Bath, Bristol, Exeter, Southampton, and Portsmouth.

The village of Winterslow is served by a regular bus service Monday to Saturday, No 89, from the centre of Salisbury. The bus stop in Winterslow , Kings Corner is about half a mile walk from Woodgate Farmhouse.
