Lantern parade set to light up Salisbury

On Thursday December 18, 2008, the streets of Salisbury will glow with the light of 1,000 lanterns, as the annual Lantern Parade winds its way from the Salisbury Arts Centre to Cathedral Close. The parade starts at 6.30pm and is accompanied by two brass bands and two choirs, bringing Christmas cheer to the historic city of Salisbury. Sarum College, which is located in Cathedral Close and perfect for watching the final moments of the parade and then visiting the Cathedral, is offering accommodation throughout December including the 18th.
