VISITWILTSHIRE TOURISM PARTNERSHIP REPORTS PROMISING VISITOR STATISTICS
Following the launch of a new county-wide organisation - the VisitWiltshire Tourism Partnership - the area is looking forward to a new boost in tourism as it seeks to establish itself as one of the most exciting UK destinations.
It is estimated that tourism in Wiltshire is worth around £726 million with an average of two million visitors staying overnight in the county and 10 million day trippers. Around 73% of which are domestic travellers.
The VisitWiltshire Tourism Partnership aims to maintain and build on this having brought together accommodation providers, attractions, pubs, restaurants, event organisers, local food producers and all local authorities under one umbrella brand dedicated to promoting tourism to the county.
Salisbury and Swindon provide the region's bustling city life while the rest of the county is a rural haven of rolling countryside, picturesque market towns and magnificent stately homes and gardens.
