Day 1
Morning - Visit Castle Combe, voted 'England's most picturesque village' which appeared as the sleepy English village of Wall in the fantasy-adventure-love story 'Stardust'. Castle Combe will also feature in the new horror movie 'The Wolf Man' starring Benicio Del Toro and Sir Anthony Hopkins, due for release in 2009.
Then head to Corsham Court, which was used for the library and dining room scenes in the film 'Remains of the Day'. Scenes from the new BBC TV adaptation of Thomas Hardy's novel 'Tess of the d'Urbervilles', which will hit our tv screens in autumn 2008, were also filmed here.
Lunch - Enjoy lunch in Corsham or Chippenham.
Afternoon - Visit Lacock - the only 15th century village to be preserved by the National Trust, which formed the breathtaking backdrop to the award-winning BBC One drama 'Cranford' starring Dame Judi Dench and Imelda Staunton.
Groups will also recognise Lacock Abbey and Village from the Harry Potter films starring Daniel Radcliffe, including 'Harry Potter and The Half Blood Prince', due for release in July 2009. Scenes from the blockbuster 'The Other Boleyn Girl', starring Scarlett Johansson and Eric Bana were also filmed here.
Overnight in Salisbury
Day 2
Morning - Visit Mompesson House, known as 'The House in The Close', which featured as Mrs Jennings' London home in the Oscar-winning film 'Sense and Sensibility', starring Kate Winslet and Hugh Grant.
Wilton House is just a short drive away. Film enthusiasts will recognise the Double Cube Room, which doubled as Mr Darcy's Pemberley in 'Pride and Prejudice' starrring Keira Knightley and Matthew Macfadyen. Wilton House will also feature in the new epic film 'The Young Victoria', due for release in March 2009.
Lunch - Wilton
Afternoon - Enjoy the hexagonal ruins of Old Wardour Castle which are surrounded by landscaped grounds, which featured as the medieval Locksley Castle, in the blockbuster film 'Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves', starring Kevin Costner.
