Type: Farm

The farmhouse is a picturesque Grade II Listed building which was built in 1650 and extended in Victorian times. It is said that Charles Dickens was so inspired by this beautiful Wiltshire village that he named his first successful novel, Pickwick Papers, after it.

Pickwick itself is next to the town of Corsham and situated just 15 minutes from the Georgian city of Bath and 10 minutes from the market town of Chippenham,

Pickwick is a working farm surrounded by fields of wheat and barley. Guests are welcome to wander round and see the cattle, sheep and ponies. The farm has several walks nearby where you will often see pheasant, rabbits and the occasional fox.

A full English breakfast is served in the breakfast room, using local produce. For lunch and evening dinner we recommend the fine restaurants and pubs which abound this outstanding area of English rural beauty.

Recipient of the Taste of the West Gold award 2004 for food and drink.

Tours of the local area can be arranged.
