Get on board famous GWR locomotives, explore hands on displays and discover more about Isambard Kingdom Brunel, his world beating Great Western Railway and the days when rail was the fastest and most glamorous form of transport. Located in a beautifully restored railway building.
Steam is open 10:00-17:00 daily.

Nearest major road is M4. Follow brown tourist signs to outlet centre, go down Tewkesbury Way, at Mannington roundabout take second exit onto Great Western Way; at Meads roundabout, follow signs to North car park or turn right for west car park.
Nearest station is Swindon. Turn right on exit from station, walk along Station Road, take second foot tunnel - entrance by Emlyn Square. Walk past National Monument Record Centre, follow path to the left and you will see rear of museum, follow round to front.
