A wonderful country park whose centrepiece is a magnificent lake (originally built as a reservoir for the Wilts & Berks Canal) which is a haven for wildlife. The park also has a children's play area, pitch & putt and mini golf, cafe, bird hides and nature reserve. The park provides a perfect environment for walking, cycling & relaxing. The park rangers offer educational talks, walks & various other activities through the year. Paddling Pool tel. 01793 610507. Some features such as the paddling pool are seasonal.

Road Directions

M4 Junction 15, turn left follow signs for Coate Water. Take exit off the A419 first exit left, turn left on roundabout, head towards Swindon Town Centre, at the Sun Inn roundabout turn left into Coate Water.

Thamesdown Transport bus numbers 10, 12, 13, 14 & 21 run to Coate Water.
