Haredown Farm is a period house (some parts dating back to c.600 years) situated in a tranquil setting amongst the rolling Wiltshire countryside, conveniently located near to the historic towns of Hungerford and Marlborough. In the nearby village of Great Bedwyn there are train connections to London, Reading and Heathrow, also to the West Country. It’s an ideal base for leisure activities such as local game shoots, golfing, walking, cycling, fishing and horse riding. There are also various local attractions and places of interest that can be visited all year round as well good pubs and restaurants.
Haredown was formally a working farm but is now a family home, with horses, goats, chickens and ducks as well as our other family members Dillon the cat, Billy, Cindy and Bonnie our three dogs. It is set amongst 11 acres of paddocks, grounds and large wildlife pond. It’s an ideal place to relax or to pursue your favorite past time or to bring your own horse/horses for riding out or a base for competition riding as we can provide stabling and turn out. We also offer pack lunches by arrangement.
Guests will receive a warm welcome and will be greeted with tea/coffee in the lounge, with a roaring fire on cold days. Breakfast is served in an elegant dining room from the Aga and all products used are organic, free range and from local farms and the eggs are from our own chickens. There is a lovely garden where tea/soft drinks can be taken outside on the terrace and guests can have the use of our heated swimming pool and tennis court by prior arrangement.
We have plenty of room available for guest to dry out wet boots, coats and a laundry service. We also offer a pick up/collection service from local stations at Bedwyn, Hungerford and Pewsey and if you require transport to the local pubs or into the towns of Hungerford and Marlborough, this can also be arranged.

Turn right signed to Great Bedwyn then first left signed to Wilton. After approx. ¼ mile and immediately leaving a sharp right hand bend, the entrance to the farm will be on the right hand side (a sign saying Haredown Farm is by the gate). For access, call the number on the gate post for access. Should the gate be open, proceed down the track and keep to the right of a large barn. Follow the track round having the pond on your right and parking can be found ahead of you in the large gravel area.
From Marlborough take A4 towards Hungerford. After approx. 5 miles look out for the Bedwyn turn on the right. It will also have a station sign. Follow the signs to Great Bedwyn. On entering the village, you will pass the first pub on the left called The Three Tons; carry straight on past the next pub The Cross Keys on your left. Keep driving straight on over the railway bridge and over a canal bridge. On leaving the village and after approx. 1 mile take the next right turn signed for Oxenwood. After approx. ¼ mile look for a long track on the left hand side (usually has two bins at the start of the track and a sign saying Haredown Farm).
