Type: Bed & Breakfast

Jessamine Cottage B&B is a four star Bed & Breakfast with a Silver Award and a Breakfast Award. Jessamine Cottage is run by Sue and Winston Castle and we pride ourselves on our service and dedication to detail.

We are within easy walking distance of Old Town and Swindon's town centre through Queen's Park, which is just a minute away.

Sue makes fantastic breakfasts. Start with our freshly squeezed (never bought in) orange juice or try my favourite, freshly squeezed pink grapefruit juice. Full English breakfast. Take your pick from eggs, fried, sunny side up or over easy, poached, scrambled, boiled, in fact anyway you like. Bacon, we have some superb locally produced smoked best back. The sausages we supply are from The Butchers Dog Sausage Company, in Berkshire, who supply the best meat, game and sausages around. Fresh tomatoes, mushrooms, hash browns, Heinz baked beans. Toast, we bake our own bread daily or we can buy in any special bread you may require including gluten free, just let us know your requirements. Top quality honey, jams and marmalades from Bonne Maman or locally produced when available. Light Breakfasts Perhaps scrambled eggs with smoked salmon or would you like kedgeree? We like to take your order the night before so everything is ready and we can cook your eggs just as you like them. If you want to just come down and choose from our menu while you have some freshly brewed coffee or tea then we will be delighted to create a wonderful breakfast just for you.

The Jessamine Cottage Package, we include free WIFI, broadband access, car parking, plasma TVs, coffee, tea, chocolate bars, fresh milk in a mini fridge and bottled water. Leave your car here for the day while you visit attractions or go to a meeting. Forgotten your toothbrush or razor? No problem, all part of the service. Need to use our mini office. We have a netbook with Open Office (compatible with Microsoft Office), internet access, printing, faxing, scanning and copying via a Kodak ESP 3250 all setup and ready to go for a nominal charge as well as stamps, envelopes and lots of paper. Winston has been a trainer in his time as a tecchie so he can help with most PC problems, linking to the net or providing some advice on how to use many desktop programs.

We have four star silver grade with VisitEngland and VisitWiltshire and are members of the British Quality Foundation (BQF) and have achieved the prestigious Committed to Excellence standard with the BQF and the European Foundation for Quality Management (EFQM). Jessamine Cottage is a husband and wife team. Small enough to care, big enough to give a service second to none with all the advantages of a top flight hotel, business support, great food but no big prices and no hidden extras.

Take a taxi (cost about £5) or call Vcars 01793 701701 to Jessamine Cottage, 156 Drove Road or walk the two minutes to the 17 bus stop outside the bus station. Do not be tempted to jump on the 17 bus that goes from the railway station as it is going the wrong way.

The 17 bus shelter is just outide the station and has a visual display telling you when the next bus is due. This is never more than a few minutes.

The fare is £1.10 for adults (March 2010). The fare is FASTFARE which means they do not give you any change!

Ask the driver for the first Upham Road stop after Drove Road. When you get off you will see Jessamine Cottage just past the mini roundabout with Drove Road.
