It is situated in a fairly quiet side street, in a particularly historic part of Salisbury, just off St Ann Street. This has been described in Pevsner's "The Buildings of England - Wiltshire" as one of the most interesting in Salisbury outside the Cathedral Close itself. The house is only a short walk from St Ann Gate entrance to The Close and within easy reach of the Market Place and city centre shops.
