Lucknam Park is a magnificent listed Palladian mansion set in 500 acres of extensive parkland. Dating from 1720, Lucknam Park nestles peacefully in a tranquil corner of Southern England just 6 miles from the World Heritage Site of Bath. Since the stunning multi-million pound refurbishment, the eternal elegance of the house has been enhanced with majestic antiques and fine art, sourced from Christies & Sotheby's. These help to produce a luxury country house experience whilst maintaining a warm welcoming ambience. Individually designed, the 42 bedrooms which include 13 impressive suites provide a luxurious foundation for a truly indulgent break.
Lucknam is a perfect retreat and offers an outstanding spa, glorious historic surrounding, classically designed gardens, its own unique equestrian centre as well as an award winning gourmet experience.
Following the award of our 5th Red Star for Excellence by the AA and the 5 Star Gold Award by Visit Britain in October 2006, Lucknam Park has been recognised with a number of prestigious awards and accolades including the retention of the Michelin Star in 2008, the Hotels Catey’s Hotel Chef of the Year Award 2007 (under 250 covers), awarded to Head Chef Hywel Jones, as well as the prestigious Relais & Chateaux and Moet & Chandon Welcome Trophy 2007. Lucknam Park has been a member of Relais & Chateaux since 2000.
In Autumn 2008 Lucknam Park opened The Spa. Contemporary and stylish this eagerly-anticipated Spa sets a new standard of luxury. There are nine state of the art treatment rooms, 5 thermal cabins including Japanese Salt, Amethyst Room, Aromatic Steam, Sauna and Tepidarium. Lucknam Park has appointed French spa specialists Anne Semonin and Carita to supply luxurious, indulgent and innovative skin care products for the new Spa. In addition The Spa features a contemporary dining experience, The Brasserie, with an open kitchen and a wood-fired oven. The food is simply prepared concentrating on seasonal local ingredients from the many wonderful suppliers who share our values on good food.
By contrast The Park restaurant offers a gourmet dining. Ingredients of the highest quality many of which are sourced locally, then prepared and cooked with respect and common sense. Our aim is to provide our guests with an exciting dining experience allowing the true stars of the show ‘the ingredients’ to be displayed at their best. The Park is our formal restaurant and is open for dinner from Tuesday to Saturday with a dress code of jacket and tie preferred. Smart denim is allowed. Trainers, leisure wear and t-shirts are not permitted in The Park.
