New Road Guest House is a large, family run, Grade 2 listed Vistorian townhouse with the Coach House annex and attractive garden in the heart of Chippenham. We are less than 5 minutes away from the town centre and shops, with lots of places to eat and drink nearby. We provide free wireless broadband internet and have ample off road parking accessible from St Paul's Street.

Prices range from £40 - £90 per room per night, including a full English Breakfast with a vegetarian option. We have a variety of rooms ranging from family rooms, double and twin ensuite in the main house with single rooms and twin rooms in the annex. All of our rooms have a colour TV and a hospitality tray.

We are just 650 yards away from the new and very popular Wiltshire and Swindon History Centre where you can browse through local records and trace your ancestors.

Getting here couldn't be easier. We're only four miles from Junction 17 of the M4 and 400 yards from the railway station which is on the mainline from Paddington to the West Country. Hop on the train and you could be in the world famous regency city of Bath in less than 15 minutes.

There are lots of local places of interest nearby, including Castle Combe, acclaimed as England's prettiest village; and the National trust village of Lacock which has been the setting for many period films and dramas such as "Pride and Prejudice", "Emma" and "Cranford". See if you can spot where some of the "bewitching" scenes were shot for the Harry Potter films.

Chippenham is surrounded by the market towns of Calne, Malmesbury, Corsham, Cricklade and Wootton Bassett which offer enticing antique shops, local crafts and fresh produce at weekly street and Farmer's markets. Longleat, Avebury, Stonehenge, Cheddar, Wookey Hole and Bristol are all within striking distance.

There are many opportunities for walking, riding and cycling or, if you're feeling a little more energetic, there are several very good golf courses nearby. For more excitement there's the Castle Combe Race Circuit.

Road Directions

Exit M4 jct 17 and take the Chippenham Road. Then take the 1st turning off the roundabout, by Morrisons and follow the road up the hill to the town centre. Turn right at the Little George Pub. Guesthouse is 100 yards down the hill on the right.

For private off road parking, proceed down the hill and turn right at the roundabout into Marshfield Road. Take the first right turn (past the Reel Cinema) into Park Lane and turn first right in front of Denton's Ironmongers into St Paul's Street. Turn first left into car park which is at the bottom of our garden.

Public Transport Directions

From Chippenham Railway Station
Go over railway station steps onto Union road. Turn right at the bottom and the Guesthouse is 50 yards up the hill opposite the Majestic Wine Shop.
