Type: Bed & Breakfast

Welcome to The Old Rectory - a superb example of Victorian gothic architecture - and experience an elegance of a bygone era at this imposing Grade II listed house situated a stroll from the beautiful and famous village of Lacock.

Built in 1866, and now a delightful family home set in its own grounds, it offers a real taste of English life. Large elegant bedrooms are offered (two with four poster beds), each providing en suite facilities, colour TV and hospitality tray. One ground floor room.

The house boasts many original features - stained glass windows, creeper-clad walls, ecclesiastical bell. Relax in our drawing room with original Broadwood piano. In the quaint dining room we serve hearty English or continental breakfasts.

Lacock is a charming village set on the edge of the Cotswolds, with some properties dating from the 14thC. Used for many historical drama films, the village also offers some excellent pubs and restaurants all just a walk away from the Rectory.

As well as being close to Castle Combe, Biddestone and in the ancient county of Wiltshire, Lacock is also just 12 miles from the world heritage city of Bath, 6 miles from J17 on the M4 and 2 hours from London.
