The Lake at Stanton Park

Stanton Park

Stanton Park

Stanton Park is a 185 acre site north east of the town.

The contrasting habitats of the local nature reserve provide food and shelter for a wealth of wildlife. Over the meadow birds of prey can often be sighted including Buzzards & Kestrels, while at dusk you may be lucky enough to see a Barn Owl.

The woodlands are home to Woodpeckers, while the lake and it's surroundings offer the chance to spot ducks and swans.

Larger animals such as Roe Deer, Hares, Foxes and Badgers are frequent visitors.

From the car park there is a surfaced one mile circular walk which allows visitors to explore all the park has to offer.

In 2008 the first Swindon Garden Show took place here.
