Welcome to Thyme Cottage Bed & Breakfast.
Thyme Cottage offers something for everyone, be it relaxation for ramblers and cyclists or just respite from the rough and tumble of business life.
Situated just off junction 15 of the M4, a stones throw from the A420 to Oxford or the A419 to Cirencester/Cheltenham/Gloucester and only a 10 minutes drive to Swindon; Thyme Cottage is a character stone farm cottage with many original features nestled in Idstone, a tranquil 12th century hamlet at the foot of the ancient Ridgeway route and near the mythical Wayland Smithy. The rolling Wiltshire countryside around us is designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and has lots of local historic charm.
We are less than an hours drive away from many beautiful cities like Bath, Oxford and Cheltenham and an ideal stay for numerous other events and attractions nearby; please take a look at the areas of interest page on our web site for further information. Whatever your requirement/reasons, you will receive a warm and friendly welcome from Toni and Martin who will be only to happy to provide help with your requirements and provide you with information about the local area or just leave you in peace if you prefer!
Rooms are furnished with LCD TV’s, Freeview, DVD player, CD player, Radio, Bathrobes, Hairdryer and Free Internet access. You can enjoy a refreshing shower or take a relaxing soak in the luxurious double bath. Tea and coffee making facilities along with a selection of biscuits and possibly homemade cake if there is any left! will always be available and if you need anything else you just need to ask.
An extensive breakfast menu is available (please see the breakfast page on our web site) which is served in our pleasant and comfortable dining room or outside on the patio, weather permitting. We cater for all eating preferences and can also provide packed lunches or evening meals if required by prior arrangement
There is ample driveway parking and if you wish to visit any of the local pubs we can collect you later on if arranged in advance.
