Road Directions
By Road: Located on New Park Street – A361
Travelling from M4 London take junction 14 to Hungerford, then A4 through Marlborough to just after Silbury Hill, then left on A361 (roman) road. On the edge of town you will pass the old Barracks, opposite a petrol station. At the roundabout continue ahead passing the Police Headquarters on the right, go straight ahead on the next roundabout, and straight over at Morrison’s supermarket roundabout. Continue straight over on the next two roundabouts (second roundabout is for Sainsbury’s supermarket), follow the road around to the right crossing the final roundabout and you will see the entrance to The Castle Hotel opposite a Pelican crossing, set on New Park Street.
From the west on M4 take junction 17, the A350 to Chippenham and join the A4 signed for Calne and Marlborough. Just out of Chippenham, close to Bowood House, take the right fork, A342 to Devizes. After coming up Dunkirk Hill and joining the A361 go through the next roundabout, passing a petrol station on your right. At the following roundabout take a left (Wadworth brewery), follow the road all the way down and The Castle Hotel is situated on the left hand side opposite a short stay car park and a Pelican crossing, at the bottom of New Park Street.

Coach: National Express provide a daily express coach service NX402 between Devizes and London and Heathrow Airport. (www.nationalexpress.com)
Rail/Bus: Depending on starting point, local stations are Pewsey (11.3 miles), Chippenham (15.5 miles), Westbury (12.7 miles) and Swindon (20.2 miles). Whilst a little further Swindon has frequent trains from a selection of routes and is linked by an hourly Wiltshire Express bus service (Stagecoach, Service 49) that stops at a the market place, a short 2 minute walk from The Castle Hotel. Chippenham is linked with service 33 and X33. Pewsey is linked by Service 5 to Avebury, and then the Service 49. For details contact Traveline on 0870 608 2608.
Management are happy to arrange for a local taxi to meet guests from one of the local stations (payable direct to taxi).
