Welcome to The George, your dog friendly, country pub in town. Pop in and enjoy our cosy lounge, roaring log fires, a beautiful, secluded garden and two lovely B&B suites.

Our menu is inspired by seasonal, locally sourced ingredients and our meals are a pleasure both to behold and enjoy!

We have a large and varied wine list for your selection, real ales from Butcombe Brewery, guest ales, cold lagers, and a variety of ciders.

We also run monthly events such as Steak Night for Two, Quiz Night, Supper Club, and we are planning other seasonal events that will be posted on our Events page.

Whether you are new to the area or one of our locals, we welcome you to join us for drinks, a cosy lunch or a memorable dinner.

Reservations recommended, but walk-ins are also welcome.
