Stanton Social Committee

The Village Fete and Novelty Dog Show 2024 …

The Social Committee are pleased to announce that Stanton Manor Hotel have kindly allowed us once again to hold our summer fete in their garden on Saturday 29 June.

Events over the past two years has raised nearly £5,000 for local causes. These include the local school, St Giles Church roof fund, the Village Hall, the Doorway Charity Chippenham, Julia’s House Hospice and Teach Us Too.

Help make this year’s event as good as previous years. Please volunteer if you can help; you do not have to be on the committee. We will need assistance setting up tents, manning the car park and running some stalls.

If you wish to be more involved, you would be most welcome to join the committee. Just contact one of the members below.

Overview …

The Stanton Social Committee organises two or three social events a year to bring the village together and is the powerhouse behind the Spring Fete and Novelty Dog Show.

The surplus at the end of each year is distributed amongst local charities and last year our main benefactor was the local homeless charity Doorway. This year we will be supporting two main charities – Teach Us Too (the campaign associated with Jonathan Bryan) and Julia’s House (providing practical and emotional support for families caring for a child with a life-limiting conditions). As in the past, we will also continue to support the primary school and the Parish Hall.
