About this event

  • 2 hours 30 minutes

Ecstatic dance is a judgment free dance event.

An opportunity to come and dance like no one is watching.

Intentionally timed around the full moon, the perfect energy to release anything that is not serving you so you can clear space for what is true and allow clarity to surface. Our bodies are our source of wisdom.

You are invited to show up as you are. You will meet you where you are at.

The music will take you on a journey to connect with yourself, mixed by an incredible DJ and we also have the amazing Francesca Littman closing the ceremony with a powerful sound bath.

The event is created and lead by Claire Doré, relationship coach and intimacy teacher, supporting people to get out of their heads and into their bodies. Claire is adept at holding space for large groups.

You may like to bring a blanket and yoga mat for the end of the session when we will lie on the floor, take some space from reflection and enjoy the beautiful sounds created live by Francesca Littman. I am delighted she will be joining us for this inaugural event. The first of many!

Soft drinks and refreshments will be available.

Please note this is a sober event.

Ecstatic dance guidelines: (Note these are just guidelines, not "rules", I personally don't do rules, this is consciously created to support you in getting the most from the session).
1. Dance without shoes, ideally barefoot or socks.
This allows you to connect more fully with the ground.
If you have a physical condition that you need dance shoes, then please do.
2. Ecstatic dance is dancing without words.
This makes it easier to be in a meditative state. I am not super strict about this but be mindful that some people will be using this as a spiritual practice. The assembly room is a large space so there will be spaces to connect and chat as well as space to talk in the bar area or stairwell too.
3. Dance as you are.
No Drugs/alcohol, no phones, no camera/video, no expectations, no judgements, no shoulds, no oughts… just be yourself; with respect for ourselves, the space, and one another.

Super excited to welcome you to the first ecstatic dance event in Marlbroough.
