About this event

  • 2 hours

The Solstices offer poignant moments for self-reflection and to align with nature's rhythms. They occur when the sun reaches its highest or lowest position in the sky, resulting in the longest or shortest day of the year. Each Solstice has its own distinct energies and themes providing natural prompts for contemplation. They also symbolize the interplay between light and dark, growth and decline, and the cyclical nature of existence. In so doing, the Solstices offer a perfect opportunity to journal as we look back over the last six months and set intentions for the months ahead.

This peaceful evening will be facilitated by Michelle & Sue from The Wisdom Space. Using a combination of meditation, silence, journaling and conscious conversation, you will be guided to deepen your inner wisdom within a supportive community. Journaling is a tool with many benefits. It provides a safe space to explore thoughts and process emotions, helping us to raise consciousness and support our emotional well-being.

Whether you are new to journaling, a seasoned wordsmith, or even prefer to draw, this event is accessible to all. So grab your favourite journal and pen (or two!) and join us on a transformative journey of self-reflection and seasonal awareness.

"Journaling is like whispering to one’s self and listening at the same time.”

Frequently asked questions

Is there any parking?

Little Rituals is in the centre of Bradford on Avon and a short (5 minute walk) from St Margaret’s car park (BA15 1DE), Bridge Street car park (BA15 1BY) and the Railway Station car park (BA15 1DQ) by the train station. There is also some road parking nearby if you're lucky!

Is the venue accessible?

There is a step up into the venue and the toilet is located downstairs (with a handrail). If you have any concerns about accessibility, please send an email to Michelle at thewisdomspace@gmail.com

Can I pay on the door?

We ask for all tickets to be booked through eventbrite so that we can manage capacity and ensure that all event communications are received. All tickets are donation based but you are welcome to message us directly if you prefer to pay by cash.

Why is this donation based?

We run as a non-profit and want to ensure that our events are as accessible as possible. We do not aim to make big profits or put lots of bums on seats. Instead, we aim to cover our costs sustainably and create transformational spaces for meaningful connection and community.

Can I have more than one drink?

Yes! We have included at least one welcome drink in the ticket price. If we break, there is the opportunity to buy another drink.

Why can't I buy more than one ticket at a time?

This is the way Eventbrite have programmed donation-based tickets. It prevents people from booking all of the tickets and paying nothing.

What time do I arrive?

The event starts at 7.30pm promptly and you're welcome to arrive from 7pm so you can settle into the space with a drink and meet other like minds in the community. We're a friendly bunch so you'll be greeted by smiling faces whether it's your first time or you're a regular.
