Christmas at Fairwood Lakes

Santa is back at Fairwood Lakes with more festive fun provided by his elves. This year, the elves welcome you to explore the magical 12 doors of Christmas on a yuletide story trail of discovery.

Start your journey in our festive Christmas Carriage learning about the 12 doors of Christmas and remember its secrets, before you set off on our twinkling trail towards Santa’s Grotto. As you walk along our trail, discover more surprises in each of the Christmas story doors, from Lords a Leaping to Maids a Milking! Visit Santa with your family for an exclusive grotto experience. While you are in the grotto, sit in our Snowing Lapland scene or visit  Santa’s Workshop. Have a picture with Rudolph,  sit in Santa’s sleigh, or check out our interactive Naughty or Nice machine. There’s plenty to see and do while you wait to see the jolly man himself.

Wrap up your festive Fairwood visit with a warm welcome at our cafe where your child’s free hot chocolate awaits, alongside plenty of other treats to purchase for the grown-ups. Visit the play park for indoor soft play and outdoor play in the Fairwood Forest. Our cafe will be serving a range of food and drink to keep you warm and refuelled.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Is the trail buggy/wheelchair friendly?
Yes the trail is wood-chip and gravel and is wide enough for buggies and wheelchairs

My child has a dairy allergy. Do you have dairy free alternatives?
We offer oat, soya and almond milk as alternatives for the mini hot chocolates that the children receive at the end of their visit. There is a full drinks menu in the cafe which will be open for everyone.

Does the whole family receive a mini hot chocolate after the Santa visit?
No, all children included in the purchased family ticket will receive a free mini hot chocolate.

What time do I come for my Santa slot?
You can come to the park to use the facilities anytime during the day of your Santa visit. We ask that you start the trail half an hour before your time slot.

I want to bring more adults. How do I pay?
The options are on the ticket prices when making a booking. The maximum number of people allowed in each grotto is 6 people. This is due to the size of the grotto.

My child is under 1. Do I need to pay?
If your under 1 child is coming with other children over 1 they don’t need to pay (if they don’t require a present) and don’t need to be included with the count of 6 people in the grotto. If you are bringing only 1 child under the age of 1 you will be required to purchase a family ticket.

I can’t come to my Santa visit, Can I get a refund?
No we don’t offer refunds however if you want to change your booking we will try to accommodate this depending on availability. If you require this service there is a £5 changing charge. This must be carried out at least 7 days prior to your Santa slot otherwise your booking is non-refundable.

I have girls and boys, will they receive the same present?
All presents are the same and every child will receive the same present.

My child is at the point of questioning the magic or has special needs. Can I request a specific interaction with Santa?
Please do not call or email the office about your special requirements. Instead speak to the head elf at the grotto and we will do our best to accommodate.

How long are we expecting to wait?
We try to see you at your booked time slot. Please understand that we cannot control delays created by other families and please expect queues in the afternoon peak times. Please dress accordingly for the weather.

What are your opening hours during the grotto times?

Please arrive earlier than your ticket time to use all our facilities which are included with your ticket.
