VisitWiltshire's New Guides Put County On The Map
VisitWiltshire is producing a series of new guides to further boost the county’s growing tourism economy.
The new publications – including a Time for Wiltshire Visitor Guide, the Time for Wiltshire Visitor Map and a Travel Trade Guide – will provide visitors with a more user-friendly and comprehensive guide to what Wiltshire has to offer.
The guides form part of a series of publications produced by VisitWiltshire which have a total distribution in excess of 300,000.
VisitWiltshire’s Marketing Manager Fiona Errington said: “VisitWiltshire’s 2018 publications form a key part of our overall marketing activity, which is designed to grow Wiltshire’s tourism economy – currently worth an estimated £1.5 billion and supporting over 29,000 jobs – and raise awareness of our beautiful county.”
The new publications have been produced in response to a growing demand for more detailed information from visitors to the county.
“Wiltshire has a growing reputation as a great destination for foodies with a wealth of fantastic places to eat and some fabulous food producers. As visitor numbers continue to increase, we are also seeing a growth in people wanting to go beyond the established tourism hotspots and explore and discover Wiltshire’s many amazing towns and villages,” said Fiona.
“With this in mind, look out for our two new maps – a Food and Drink Map and a Towns Map - available in spring 2018. These will provide visitors with a more user-friendly and comprehensive guide to what Wiltshire has to offer and will further boost the county’s growing tourism economy,” she added.
The new 72-page 2018 Time for Wiltshire Visitor Guide is available from Information Centres around the UK, and will be distributed via exhibitions at home and abroad, selected airports, ports, motorway service stations, supermarkets, shopping centres and attractions.
Targeted mainly, but not exclusively, at day visitors the 2018 Time for Wiltshire Visitor Map is also available at selected railway stations, accommodation, activity providers, park & ride sites and the London People at Work network.
The 2018 Travel Trade Guide is being sent out via a mailshot to travel trade contacts, distributed at exhibitions at home and abroad, and to named individuals responding to VisitWiltshire’s annual groups advertising campaign.
All the guides and maps are also available to download from the VisitWiltshire website - www.visitwiltshire.co.uk/plan-your-visit/maps-and-guides
