DOWNSTAIRS the light streams into the orangery style sitting room which leads out to a peaceful garden. Sit in the morning sun to enjoy your coffee on the front patio. A compact wood burner is the focal point in the sitting room for cooler evenings with plenty of logs provided from the log store.
There is a spacious and light, fully equipped designer kitchen diner. In one corner you will find comfy chairs and a mini Everhot. This extra oven radiates heat and allows you to pop something in the oven to be ready when you get back from your long walk. For your added convenience there is a washing machine/ boot room near the back door.
UPSTAIRS The cottage has two double bedrooms. Each with King size beds and built in wardrobes. Open the curtains in the morning and look out over Tisbury to the glorious countryside of the nadder valley and beyond. We provide soft, crisp Egyptian cotton bedding in one room and bamboo cotton bedding in the other. Hairdriers, phone charging stations, dressing gowns, towels and slippers are supplied for your convenience.
Off each Bedroom is a bathroom. One has a luxurious double ended freestanding bath to relax and soak in. A spacious vanity unit to hold all of your makeup and essentials. Bathroom two has a walk in rain shower and boutique vanity unit. We choose designer tiles and tongue and groove panelling with farrow and ball colours for this room to create glamour and sophistication.
We even supply our own artisanal handmade Arundell House Kitchen Soaps!
The stunning views have been maximised from all the rooms. Wake up in the morning and look over the village and Nadder Valley. Step out of the patio doors into the garden and feel like you are in the countryside whilst being in the middle of the village. Enjoy a coffee whilst sitting at the bistro table or move to the outdoor sofa for more comfort. When the weather returns to beautiful summer days relax on the loungers.
The cottage is a short walk from the local shops of Tisbury. They include a butcher and vegetable shop, fishmonger, deli and craft shops. The Beckford bottle shop and a variety of places to take coffee and cake. Arundell Cottage is within five minutes walking distance of The Boot, a traditional real ale pub which has been in the same family for forty years. A short drive or delightful twenty minute walk through open fields takes you to The Beckford Arms, a well known gastro pub much loved by discerning Londoners in search of a country experience.
There is plenty of off street gated parking for at least three cars. Open countryside for delightful scenic walks is a few steps away. Approximately thirty minutes in the car brings you the stunning attactions of Stonehenge, Salisbury Cathedral and Stourhead. A little bit further in the opposite direction is the Jurassic Coast.
The cottage is positioned in the most beautiful Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Cycling, walking and fishing are accessible from the door step.
