Celebrating 800 years since the foundation stones of the Cathedral were laid, Spirit and Endeavour is the Cathedral's largest contemporary art exhibition for nearly two decades. The works have been especially chosen to honour the achievements of the ordinary people who built a city and a cathedral of such distinction, with pieces featured across the Close and inside the Cathedral itself.
Three years in the planning, this exhibition brings together work from some of the most important and influential contemporary artists of the 20th and 21st century, including Antony Gormley, Shirazeh Houshiary, Henry Moore, Grayson Perry, Conrad Shawcross, Stanza and Mark Wallinger. Find out more
