Hire a vintage or retro car

Discover the county in style with classic car hire company, Vintage Classics. You can hire anything from an Austin Healey through to an Alfa Romeo Spider. They are also on help you with your route planning with some of their suggested itineraries taking in pretty villages such as Lacock and Castle Combe. Try your hand at a driving experience

Head to Castle Combe Circuit in the north west of Wiltshire and you’ll not only be able to watch car racing throughout the racing season but also try your hand at some of their driving experiences. Experience white knuckle passenger rides, track days racing Formula Ford and other vehicles and even young driver experiences for 12-16 year olds.

Try out speed hillclimbing at the Gurston Down Hillclimb Drivers School near Broad Chalke or watch one of the hillclimbs in action during one of the race days throughout the summer months.

Great for teams or groups is the indoor karting centre at Wessex Raceway. This circuit is located south of Salisbury and makes a great stag do venue with other activities on-site including laser quest.

If you are keen on motoring then you may also like to visit the Atwell-Wilson Motor Museum in Calne - home to cars from the 1920s onwards. The museum also hosts regular events including car rallies and meets.
 
Within the Old Stables at Wilton House you can see a display of some of Lord Pembroke’s classic and supercars. The estate hosts various Wilton wake-up events on a variety of motoring themes throughout the summer.
