AboutThis year the Army Flying Museum have used images from their Blast Wall artwork display to create a fun trail around the Museum. British units stationed in Afghanistan on Operation Herrick would memorialise their tour by painting a section of the perimeter blast wall of Camp Bastion. Look out for a series of fun and fearsome characters, taken from this wall, as you walk around the Museum. If you spot them all remember to re-visit the shop so you can collect your prize.
They also have some fun craft activities to take home with you. Just pick one up from the shop. They are free of charge and there is a choice of two:
Halloween Bats Craft Pack
Find out all about the secret life of bats when you pick up this October's half term craft pack. Inside will be all you need to create a tissue paper stained glass bat to put on your window, complete with glow in the dark stars! Inside will also be a bat fact sheet and word search so you can amaze your friends with your expert knowledge. If you want even more of challenges pick up an origami bat set and see if you can fold your own.
Military Cap Badges Craft Pack
If you are not batty about bats pick up a craft badge set instead and learn about military badges with the fact sheet. You'll have a complete badge and pin set as well as three separate designs to colour in and make your own. Some characters from the Blast Wall artwork will also turn up in these packs as well as some blanks so you can design your own.
