AboutWe've unearthed some fascinating tales of Longleat from the past five centuries and we are inviting you on a quest to discover and celebrate the Park's natural and built heritage.
Our unique stories are bought to life by stunning sculptures commissioned and created by UK-based artists, Charlotte Austen, Rebecca McDonald and their skilful teams.
Having delved deep into Longleat's archives, we've found records that recall King George III's visit to Longleat in 1789, with a tale that suggests he planted an oak. As well as enjoying some animal tales like the "terror", Fred the pheasant, who chased women around the Orangery in the 1960s!
Don't miss out, explore these tales and many more...
