ROMANTIC THINGS TO DO IN WILTSHIRE THIS VALENTINE’S DAY
Wiltshire has been a special place for a very long time so if you are looking to spoil your special someone this Valentine’s Day, VisitWiltshire suggests some top tips for things to do, unique gift ideas and idyllic places to stay in this beautiful county.
From commissioning a piece of bespoke jewellery to renting a thatched cottage or taking to the skies on a scenic balloon flight, there are a host of romantic ideas to choose from in Wiltshire.
Visit Fisherton Mill in Salisbury to check out resident artists including Ruby Warren, where you can commission bespoke jewellery or buy unique limited edition items.
Book onto a course at The Farm Cookery School in Bromham, where you can learn how to rustle up a romantic meal for two.
If you fancy an evening of vintage inspired cabaret and circus entertainment come along to the Hundred Watt Club – An evening of Burlesque and Cabaret at City Hall, Salisbury.
Whisk your partner off in a classic car, hired from Vintage Classics and travel in style through the beautiful Wiltshire countryside. Visit the village of LOVER in the New Forest National Park where in days gone by the Post Office would stamp letters with the name of the village.
Aerosaurus Balloons offer balloon flights from the Larmer Tree Gardens for you to experience “lighter than air” travel whilst sipping champagne as you drift peacefully over some natural wonders of the Cranborne Chase and West Wiltshire Downs Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
For the ultimate romantic getaway, why not hire a cottage for a week or a weekend? There are some stunning thatched properties to choose from including Cosy Cot, Stapleford and Church Steps, Warminster, either of which would be the perfect choice for Valentine’s Day.
A number of hotels and attractions have special offers for Valentine’s Day, including:
The Harrow at Little Bedwyn has a Michelin star restaurant and is offering a Valentine’s Day lunch and dinner menu on Tuesday 14 February with a selection of canapés including oysters on arrival for £75 per person.
