Widely regarded as the UK’s No. 1 Safari Park, Longleat is just getting better and better!
Set within 900 acres of ‘Capability’ Brown landscaped grounds and with its unique mix of historic stately home, world famous Safari Park and award-winning family attractions Longleat is one of the best loved tourist destinations in the UK.
And, 2011 looks set to be one of the best years yet as new attractions, new animals and new ticket offers are all planned for the season ahead.
Explore Jungle Kingdom, a new multi million pound attraction. Go walkabout in the UK’s first walkthrough meerkat enclosure, hand feed the Rainbow Lorikeets in the Lorikeet Feeding Station and enjoy the antics of the monkeys in Monkey Temple!
Take a sea lion escorted voyage on Jungle Cruise past Gorilla Island and its resident Silverback Lowland Gorilla, Nico. Or how about journeying on the Jungle Express, a themed railway experience taking you past the Longleat lakes and alongside Jungle Kingdom?
Famous for its lions, Longleat Safari Park will open with new male lions in 2011. A group of wildebeest will also be introduced to the park for opening 2011 along with two new white rhino who will be joining our existing herd in the Spring.
The Safari Park will also become home to the fastest land animal, the cheetah, as it joins the Longleat Big Cats in the new Cheetah Kingdom, which will open later in the year.
Meanwhile… the Monkeys are Back! Love them or hate them, the Longleat monkeys have always been one of the most memorable experiences of a Longleat visit! Now they’re back and ready to create monkey mayhem!
The animal experience is not just limited to the Safari Park however as Hunters of the Sky, a birds of prey show brought to Longleat by the Hawk Conservancy Trust will be showing later this year. This spectacular display of owls, eagles, kites and vultures will fill the skies over Longleat and will be a “must do” within the Longleat attractions.
A new Parkland Deer Feeding Experience will be launched for Spring 2011. An ever-popular feature of the Safari Park, this new parkland “on foot” experience will allow visitors to get really close to our herd of fallow deer as they eat direct from your hand!*
As well as new attractions and animals, Longleat will also be welcoming back the TV crews for 2011. This year CBBC Roar will go behind-the-scenes at this popular Safari Park to meet the multitude of animals that call Longleat home. It’s not just our animals that will be on show however as the CBBC Roar Rangers put our keepers to the test with their animal facts and knowledge. The first CBBC Roar series from Longleat will commence in Spring 2011.

Catering 2011… new outlets coming soon!
As new attractions and new tickets arrive at Longleat then so do new catering outlets! The Orangery, an 1800s conservatory situated in the formal gardens of Longleat House with stunning views over the rose filled gardens of the Love Labyrinth, will open in 2011 for fine coffees, teas and high quality sandwiches and cakes.
The Safari Park meanwhile becomes home to the Watering Hole.
