Lorne House is locally famous as the childhood home of Rev. W Awdry creator of Thomas the Tank Engine and the Little Engines. The village of Box offers a great choice of pubs within walking distance, and a number of excellent restaurants.

Road Directions
Situated on the A4 in Wiltshire. Travelling from Bath, go through village, you will find us 100 yds (aprx 92 metres) on left passed zebra crossing. From Chippenham, enter village, you will find us 300 yds (aprx 275 metres) on right, next to Box Surgery.
Public Transport Directions
From Chippenham - 6 miles / Bath 6 miles.
From Bath bus station opposite train station catch Chippenham bus. Stops 200 yards from Lorne House in Box.
