Do you believe in paranormal phenomena? Now is your chance to find out thanks to the haunted Rifles Museum in Salisbury. Known locally as The Wardrobe this historic building dates back to the 13th century and is said to have some very unusual ‘activity’. Visitors can take part in a night time adventure on 7th May 2011.
Explore the unexplained with a team of experienced investigators who will demonstrate the usage of all the latest ghost hunting equipment during the evening experiments and team vigils. Access has been granted to the historic museum, house and garden for an uninterrupted scientific exploration.
Staff at the Rifles Museum have experienced sounds of running up and down the stairs and objects disappearing and turning up elsewhere. The museum also houses the ghost of a ‘grey lady’ in the Regimental Room. Known as Margaret she died aged 90 in the property when it was still residential. A ghost of a Cavalier can also be seen gliding around while books can be seen jumping off bookcases.
This is a unique opportunity to visit this fascinating location and investigate its paranormal past. Arrival and introductions start at 20:30 on Saturday 7th May 2011 with investigations commencing at 21:00 through to 02:00. Tea and coffee are available throughout the evening. Tickets cost £35.00 with discount for groups of five or more.
