Car Parking & Car Parks in Salisbury

If you are travelling to Salisbury by car then we’ve provided details below of Salisbury parking locations to help you make the most of your visit to the city.

Long stay parking Salisbury

If you are looking to stay in the city all day then we advise you to make use of one of the five Park and Ride sites that the city has:

  • Beehive Park & Ride (serves the A345 from Amesbury)
  • Britford Park & Ride (serves the A338 from Bournemouth and the A354 from Blandford Forum)
  • London Road Park & Ride (serves the A30 from the north east of the city)
  • Petersfinger Park & Ride (serves the A36 from Southampton – south east of the city)
  • Wilton Park & Ride (serves the A36 west of the city and the A360 from Devizes)

Park & Ride buses run frequently and the car parks are secure with CCTV. More information on the Park & Ride scheme can be found here. All Salisbury park and ride services cost £3 return per person.

For long stay car parking in the city centre there are two suitable car parks: Central Car Park and Culver Street Car Park.

Find out about parking charges and additional car park information on the Wiltshire Council website.

Short stay parking Salisbury

Within the city centre there are several off-street car parks that offer short stay Salisbury parking including Central Car Park, Salt Lane, Brown Street and Crane Street.

Visit the Wiltshire Council website for maps and charges for these car parks.

In addition to the car parks, there are some streets that offer short stay parking, please check the signs and notices along the street in which you wish to park as some are designated for residential parking only.

Coach parking in Salisbury

There is a designated coach drop-off/pick-up point on St John’s Street, Salisbury (opposite the Mercure White Hart Hotel) where coaches can stop for 10 minutes.

The main coach park is at Millstream Coach Park, with an overflow at the Britford Park & Ride. Current Salisbury parking charges for coaches can be found on the Wiltshire Council website.

PLEASE NOTE: Salisbury Coach Station will be out of use from 2nd January 2024 for approximately 4 months, to allow for the site to be remodelled to provide better facilities for coaches to pick up and set down passengers. During this period, please refer to the map that provides further guidance on where coaches can pick up and set down passengers in Salisbury city centre.
