Cafes & Tea Rooms in Salisbury

Whether you are looking for a catch up coffee or a quick lunch discover more about the cafés in and around Salisbury.

There are lots of options for cafés and tea rooms available in Salisbury, from independent cafés dotted along some of our side streets and the Market Place through well-known chains such as Costa Coffee and Starbucks.

Make the short walk to Fisherton Mill, off Fisherton Street, for an award-winning café experience in a unique building that also doubles up as a gallery. Or why not relax in the Cathedral Close in one of the attraction’s tea rooms including Mompesson House, the King’s Café in The Salisbury Museum or Bernière’s at The Rifles Berkshire and Wiltshire Museum?

There is also a refectory within Sarum College or you can even enjoy a cup of coffee with views straight up Salisbury Cathedral’s spire if you make a visit to Salisbury Cathedral’s Refectory or Bell Tower Café* (*open during the summer months).

Enjoy a refreshing drink outside

If the weather is good and you fancy sitting outside then head to the Market Place, where many of the cafés have outdoor seating areas, along the High Street or into the Cathedral Close or grab a takeaway and head to one of the city’s parks for a relaxing stroll.

There are several choices for cafés along Butcher Row, the High Street and within the Old George Mall, Maltings and Cross Keys Shopping Centres.

Historic buildings

Many of our cafés and tea rooms are set in historic buildings, look out for wooden beams, cosy alcoves and friendly service.
