Independent Shops in Salisbury

Salisbury has a strong tradition of supporting and nurturing small independent businesses and is lucky to have an active community of thriving independent shops. You can find a wealth of different independent stores (or indies, as we like to call them) selling everything including: homeware, clothes, health foods, specialist food, fitness gear and things for your hobbies.

Please help keep our local economy thriving by supporting our indies on your next visit to Salisbury.

Where can I find Salisbury’s independent stores?

You can discover some of the city’s independents on Milford Street, Winchester Street, Fisherton Street and the High Street plus at many other locations around the city. Take a look at our listings below for details of the types of indies we have in and around the city or use the search box on this page to find what you are looking for.

Download a copy of our Salisbury Indies Guide to help you get started.

Be sure to check out further information around Salisbury's array of independent shops here.

Salisbury Independents’ Week

Every year, Salisbury celebrates the richness and diversity of its independent shops during Salisbury Independents’ Week, to coincide with Independence Day on 4 July.

The event ties in with the national Independent Retailer Month, an annual campaign to highlight the important role local independents play in the communities they serve, the local economy, and in the retail sector as a whole.

During Salisbury Independents’ Week, shops offer discounts and competitions to highlight the excellent customer service, competitive prices, niche brands and enjoyable shopping experience that can be found when using independent retailers.

Want to find out more about Salisbury’s indies?

Browse our listings below to find the different independent shops within the city or use the search box to find out more. Also, keep an eye on our special offers for discounts off shopping at some of our indies.
