Evening entertainment in Salisbury
For comedy and performances head to City Hall, Salisbury’s largest live entertainment venue. There is jam-packed programme of events with big names in comedy such as Jimmy Carr and Al Murray as well as show-stopping shows including musical theatre, ballet and concerts.
Alongside City Hall, sits Salisbury Playhouse. The Playhouse’s varied programme includes plays, musicals, one night events and an annual traditional pantomime. Look out for nearby restaurants that offer pre-theatre dining to help you make the most of your evening out.
Just a short walk from the city centre and you’ll find Salisbury Arts Centre. Based in a beautiful converted church, the arts centre offers a wide range of thought-provoking exhibitions, performances and workshops plus regular comedy evenings.
All three venues are used for the annual Salisbury International Arts Festival which brings with it concerts, theatre, talks, dance and much more.

Nightlife in Salisbury

The Chapel is Salisbury’s main nightclub and club nights take place every Thursday, Friday and Saturday evening. The club hosts many events including DJs. Some of the pubs in the city centre have late licenses on the weekends including the Kings Head Inn (Wetherspoon pub) and the Cathedral Hotel.
