Whether you are looking for an evening out or a leisurely lunch, there are plenty of restaurants in Salisbury to choose from.

Within the heart of Salisbury city centre you will find several restaurants dotted around our historic Market Place and many in the small medieval streets leading you towards the cathedral.

Well-known restaurant names in Salisbury

You’ll find a wealth of well-known restaurant names here in Salisbury including Wagamama, Byron Burgers, Prezzo, Café Rouge and The Giggling Squid, where you can enjoy the food you know and love.

Independent restaurants in Salisbury

If you fancy something different, then be sure to check out some of our independent restaurants here in Salisbury. Options include Thai food at the Rai d’or, Indian cuisine from Anokaa or Arabian fare at Baroushka. You will find several of our independent restaurants along Fisherton Street. 

Alfresco dining in Salisbury

On a warm day, there’s nothing better than eating outside. Why not enjoy some alfresco dining at one of our centrally located restaurants with choices including The Market Inn and the Ox Row Inn. There are also small areas of outdoor seating at The Cosy Club and Wagamama and further afield you'll find a pub garden at the Old Mill at Harnham. The Allium Restaurant on the market square in Salisbury is family-run fine dining restaurant, serving the best of modern British cuisine.

Hotel restaurants

All of our hotels have onsite restaurants including the AA rosette restaurants at The Red Lion and the Milford Hall Hotel, the tastefully-decorated restaurant in the Mercure White Hart Hotel. On the edge of the city, you’ll find the River’s Edge restaurant at the Legacy Rose & Crown Hotel and the Grasmere House Hotel’s restaurant, both offering spectacular views of Salisbury Cathedral across the water meadows.

Asian restaurants in Salisbury

If you enjoy Asian food then head to Bridge Street and Fisherton Street for a wide selection of Indian, Chinese and Thai cuisine. Many of these restaurants also offer takeaway options too.
