Go back in time and visit The Salisbury Museum and Wiltshire Museum in Devizes to immerse yourself in the full story of the remarkable Stonehenge and Avebury World Heritage Site. There are unique opportunities to access the expertise of the Museum staff who have a detailed understanding of Wiltshire’s archaeology and care for internationally important finds from these iconic sites.

Perfect for all types of specialist groups from those wanting an overview or a more in depth understanding of this historic landscape and the people who lived here.

The Salisbury Museum, Wiltshire Museum & Stonehenge
One Day Package Tour – From £32.50pp (excluding lunch)

Suggested Itinerary:

10am Visit The Salisbury Museum for a spotlight tour and find out more about Neolithic Britain and the people who built Stonehenge.
(Duration 1 hr 30 mins)

Behind the scenes tour and the opportunity to handle objects from Stonehenge is available for an additional £3pp

12.30pm Take the 1 hour journey to Wiltshire Museum where your group can have an optional sandwich lunch, teas and coffees, followed by a spotlight tour of the gold found at the time of Stonehenge.
(Duration 2 hours)

Director’s highlights tour is available for an additional £4pp

3pm  After a 30 mins journey you will arrive at Stonehenge and have the chance to see this famous World Heritage Site and the Visitor Centre.
(Duration 2 hours)

Alternative timings and variations to the above itinerary are available, including one museum plus Stonehenge, two day itineraries and an after-hours tour of Wiltshire Museum followed by 3 course prehistoric-themed dinner at the Museum prepared by our local celebrity chef.

Wiltshire Museum & Director’s VIP Walking Tour – optional Stonehenge visit

10.30am Visit Wiltshire Museum for Director’s tour
(Duration 1 hour tour plus 30 mins free flow).

12.30pm  Travel the 30 minutes to Stonehenge Inn for lunch

2pm   Depart for Wiltshire Museum Director’s   specialist walking tour from Durrington Walls to the Stonehenge Visitor Centre

5.30pm  Arrive at Stonehenge Visitor Centre

Optional visit to Stonehenge can be arranged for an additional fee of £14.50pp

Salisbury Museum & Director’s Stonehenge Landscape Tour
