Christmas Markets in Wiltshire
Christmas markets are popping up all over Wiltshire as the festive season gets into full swing. Try delicious artisan foods, shop for crafty gifts and soak up the Christmas cheer as choirs sing with a glass of mulled wine and a mince pie.
Salisbury Christmas Market
Salisbury Christmas Market is open from 29 November until 6 January 2019. Located in front of The Guildhall you’ll find plenty of foods, from authentic luxury German chocolates to local gins, and plenty of arts and crafts to find the perfect gift this Christmas. Keep an eye out for festive entertainment, music and activities throughout the day as well as the ice rink – new for 2018.
REME Museum Christmas Fair and Market
On Saturday 8 December, visit REME as they host their Christmas Market and Fair for one day only. You can expect plenty of seasonal foods and an indoor artisanal market, as well a visit from Santa before he heads back to the North Pole. It will be a great way to kick start your Christmas shopping.
Avebury Frost Fayre & Avebury Manor Christmas House
Get ready for Christmas! Elements of Avebury are excited to invite you to our very first Mini Frost Fayre in Avebury on Saturday 8 December. It will be completely free to attend and there will be some festive stalls in a magical and cosy space. National Trust Avebury will also be holding a variety of festive event throughout December so there's lots of reasons to come and enjoy Avebury's Christmas Spirit.
Corsham Christmas Lights Switch on and Market
On Friday 7 December, Corsham Light Switch On will take place kick start the festive season, the town celebrates with a Christmas market, live entertainment and a visit from Santa with his reindeers. Don’t forget to visit the Wishing Tree too! Write a wish and place it inside one of the baubles and hang it on the tree ready for Santa to collect. There’s no charge but there will be a collection for charity.
Trowbridge Creative Christmas Market
On 8 December at Trowbridge Town Hall Arts are hosting a creative market showcasing a selection of Christmas gifts, decorations and cards all handmade in the local area. There will be mulled wine and mince pies as well as a visit from Santa. There will also be the opportunity meet Santa on selected dates.
Swindon’s Christmas Pop-Up Artisan Market
On selected dates in December a festive market will be held in Swindon. Expect vintage goods, local crafts, seasonal decorations and traditional Christmas gifts to be on sale as well as festive foods including authentic German Bratwurst sausages. Whilst you’re there, take a trip to McArthurGlen Designer Outlet to visit Santa’s Grotto and enjoy some retail therapy and Christmas shopping.
There’s lots to do to get into the Christmas Spirit including Festival of Light at Longleat, Community Christmas Tree festival at Lacock and the Christmas House at Mompesson House. Similarly most National Trust properties and Stately Homes in Wiltshire will be dusting off the Christmas decorations and celebrating the festive season.
