VisitWiltshire launches its new autumn marketing campaign this week titled ‘Time for Wiltshire - the home of timeless experiences’. The new campaign website page can be found at www.visitwiltshire.co.uk/timeforwiltshire.
VisitWiltshire’s new drone film takes to the skies to show visitors an aerial perspective of some of Wiltshire's autumn delights. It’s titled ‘Autumn in Wiltshire what view did you wake up to this morning?’ Visitors are able to discover Bowood House and Gardens, Stourhead, Abbey House Gardens, Larmer Tree Gardens and some stunning countryside from the air.
The new drone film can be seen here.
The marketing campaign targets the UK short-break escape market and positions Wiltshire as an ideal destination that is easy to get to for a well-deserved holiday. It encompasses Wiltshire’s beautiful gardens, events and festivals, arts and culture, accommodation, attractions and activities. These are all featured under the product themes of Timeless Wonders, Timeless Pleasures, Timeless Nature and Timeless Places.
Fiona Errington, VisitWiltshire’s Marketing Manager said, “The campaign objectives are to increase the profile of Wiltshire and by raising awareness of the high quality and broad product offer we’ll be able to encourage visitors to stay longer in the county, particularly during low season months. With an audience reach of over 1 million people, we aim to bring in an additional £700,000 visitor spend to the Wiltshire tourism economy.”
The campaign will include an inspirational digital lead generation leaflet and targeted e-newsletters, plus blogs, competitions, PR and extensive social media engagement on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. Partnerships with VisitBritain and VisitEngland utilising their digital channels are sure to push the digital reach of this campaign even further.
The campaign is supported by partners including the city of Salisbury (BID) and town of Corsham; Vintage Classics and Wyvern Theatre. It also features attractions such as Salisbury Cathedral, Arundells, Longleat, McArthurGlen Designer Outlet Swindon, Castle Combe Circuit and Stourhead. Visitors can find out about accommodation in the area including Marshwood Farm, The Stables at Manor Farm, Troutbeck Guest House and Red Lion Freehouse plus a number of Wiltshire Hideaways self-catering properties.
Take time out from the everyday this autumn, escape to Wiltshire, you’ll be here in no time.
