VisitWiltshire Launches Autumn Campaign
VisitWiltshire is promoting the county as the perfect destination for short breaks as part of a new autumn campaign which launches this month.
As well as emphasising its ease of access, the digital ‘Time For Wiltshire Autumn Campaign’ aims to highlight both the huge diversity and the high quality of what it has to offer visitors.
As part of the campaign an ‘Autumn Colours’ video has been commissioned featuring aerial shots of some of Wiltshire’s most iconic destinations including Bowood House & Gardens, Stourhead, Larmer Tree Gardens and Abbey House Gardens.
An e-newsletter has been distributed to approximately 100,000 addresses, a digital ad campaign launched on social media including Facebook and Instagram and a dedicated landing page has been created visitwiltshire.co.uk/timeforwiltshire.
The campaign will also be promoted via VisitEngland and VisitBritain, feature a themed website blog and incorporate digital search and display advertising.
“The aim of the campaign is to raise awareness of Wiltshire as an ideal destination that is easy to get to for a well-deserved short break,” said VisitWiltshire’s Fiona Errington.
“Whether your ideal break is calming, comforting, refreshing or bursting with high adrenalin excitement, we want everyone to make time for Wiltshire.
“As a county we are blessed with a huge choice of world-class destinations and an amazing variety of high-quality, quirky and unique accommodation.
“We have beautiful gardens to enjoy the magical autumn colours, incredible events and festivals, arts and culture, relaxing spas, hotels, B&Bs, attractions and activities,” she added.
Among the specific events and destinations covered in the campaign are the forthcoming ‘Great British Autumn’ event which takes place at Longleat (20 October-4 November) as well as their spectacular festive-themed ‘Festival of Light’ which launches on 9 November.
Autumn fashion at McArthurGlen Designer Outlet Swindon is also featured alongside the timeless pleasure of Stonehenge and the stunning autumnal colours of Stourhead’s beautiful gardens.
The campaign also aims to highlight some of the county’s lesser-known ‘hidden gems’ including the historic market town of Corsham, Swindon’s acclaimed Wyvern Theatre, the Michelin-starred Red Lion Freehouse and the five-star Troutbeck Guesthouse, East Chisenbury.
